Mats Agren M.D. |
Dr. Mats Agren was born in
Umea, Sweden. He came to this country as an
exchange student and attended Deering High School from 1976-1977. After
finishing his education and military training in Sweden, he returned to
Maine and
attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine from 1979-1983.
Dr. Agren was accepted into the University Of Pennsylvania School Of
Medicine,
graduating in 1987. He returned to Maine for a one year internship in
General
Surgery at Maine Medical Center, after which he went on to the
University of
Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester Mass, for his Orthopaedic
training.
Upon completion in 1993, he completed a one year Spine Fellowship at New
England Baptist Hospital, Boston, Mass. Dr. Agren returned to Portland
in 1994,
and has been practicing at Falmouth Orthopaedic center with Dr Anson
since
1998. Dr Agren is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Agren resides with his family in Cumberland Center, Maine.
