Philip S. Anson M.D. |
Originally from upstate New
York, Dr. Anson received his medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo in 1979
and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of
Rochester in 1983, followed by an additional year of training in England
and Switzerland.
He has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon in Portland, Maine since
1984. In addition to being on the medical staff of Maine Medical Center,
Mercy Hospital, New England Rehabilitation Hospital and Stephen's
Memorial Hospital, he is also an Associate Clinical Professor of
Orthopedics at the University of Vermont, and has been a visiting Spinal
Fellow in Nottingham, England.
Dr. Anson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgeons, and is a member of the
European Society of Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, the North American
Spine Society and the Scoliosis Research Society and he serves as an
oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Anson and his family reside in Scarborough.
